Welcome to your CAD 101A library research practice session. Today we will practice skills and strategies that will be useful to you as you complete your inquiry project. Practice will be guided by worksheets but you should also record any keywords or sources you might want to use for your project on your research journal. You'll receive a copy of worksheet responses you enter, and you'll be able to refer back to this guide later by accessing it from the library website.

By the end of today's session, you should be able to:

  • Identify keywords appropriate for researching a topic
  • Use OneSearch to find peer-reviewed articles relevant to a research topic
  • Read an article's abstract to gain a basic understanding of what it's about
