Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI):
A university/college that at least 25% of the undergraduate students body enrolled full-time are Hispanic/Latines. When an institution is award HSI status they are eligible to apply for grants that are deigned to support and expand the educational opportunities provided to Hispanic/Latinx students. Thus, striving to help retain and help students achieve their academic pursuits.
