Citation Managers

Hosted by the CSUMB Library, join this one-hour zoom session on the popular and free citation management programs Zotero and Mendeley.

After this workshop, you should be able to:

• describe key features of Zotero
• install the Zotero desktop program
• gather citations from a variety of search tools using Zotero
• use Zotero within Word to insert in-text citations and bibliographies in the format of your choice (e.g., APA, MLA, etc.)
• become familiar with the key features of Mendeley
• install Mendeley Reference Manager
• generate in-text citations bibliographies and /work cited lists in various formats within Word
• import, read and annotate journal articles within the software
• generate citations and bibliographies

No registration required. Open to students, staff, and faculty. You will need headphones or speakers (microphone useful but not required). Students, check with your instructor to see if this workshop qualifies as extra-credit for your class—Certificates of Completion will be provided.
